Abstract

OJ Electronics implemented its first Quick Response Manufacturing cell in 2014 as a "one stop shopping" QRM cell, focused on producing prototypes to support R&D. The focus on time was necessary to meet the Time to Market goals OJ has for new product introductions. After a successful implementation and sustainable results, the Quick Response thinking spread to other parts of the organization. The next QRM initiative was to attack the time it took to implement a ECO (Engineer Change Order) in the organization. Hear how a group of employees from different departments moved together, streamlined some processes and slashed the time to implement a ECO at OJ Electronics.
